Noah was just a regular man. Genesis 6:9-
He had a steak of faithfulness in him though, that caught the attention of God. God zeroed in on that and Noah became a world-changer in more ways than one!
Abraham started out as an ordinary person; he got married, began to increase his herds and flocks and hung out with his family clan. Faithfulness was evident in Abraham’s daily life because when God asked him to pack up his stuff and move across the country, he didn’t even hesitate. He up and moved. Genesis 12-
Through the consistent faithfulness of Abraham, the world changed. Kings and nations emerged from his family line and it is through Abraham’s family that ‘all the families of the earth are blessed.’
For many years of Joseph’s life, it seemed the entire world was out to get him. Taken by force and sold into slavery by his own step-brothers, he had to learn a new language, culture and find a new identity. He was falsely accused by a woman of influence and thrown into prison. In all of this, he remained faithful. Steadfast in his trust. Secure in his faith in God. Genesis 37-
Joseph’s faithfulness saved multiple nations from starvation during a 7-year famine and secured a position for his 2 sons to be counted as heirs right along with their 11 uncles.
God is actively, anxiously searching the earth for faithfulness. Men and women who are faithful in their daily lives. It matters little who your parents are, where you live or what your occupation is. Whatever it is that you do, do it whole-heartedly in faithfulness. Live your life in excellence.
Are you a mom with littles? Be faithful in guiding and teaching those littles.
Maybe you are a dad working a 9-5 job; give it your best with a whole heart!
Be you a pastor, professor, student, entrepreneur or the president, be faithful in what is before you! Do it well, do it with excellence. Do it whole-heartedly.
If you are faithful in little things, you will be trusted with bigger things.
Luke 16:10a
God is actively, anxiously searching for faithful people. People through whom he can bless the world. This, my friend, is the ticket to becoming a world-changer. Faithfulness. In what areas of your life do you need to exercise faithfulness?
May this be found in each one of us.
May his eyes rest on you and light up with joy as he observes a flame of faithfulness in you.
He will bless you. He will change the world through you.
