Heal And Shift

Pay attention to your patterns. The ways you learned to survive may not be the ways you want to continue to live. Heal and shift.

Adapt. Much of our success is dependent upon the ability to adapt. To change. To evolve!

There are seasons in life that are difficult, or especially trying. How we survive these times may look quite different than how we walk through a season of quietness and rest.
Jesus states in Matthew 11 that “My yoke is easy; my burden is light.”
No matter the season we find ourselves in, there is quiet rest to be had. However, what I am addressing is the patterns.

Look at the patterns you have picked up while in survival mode.
Catch and hold the thoughts that have been growing there.
Are these patterns, ones you wish to continue supporting? Are the thoughts ones you wish to nurture and grow?

Take a quiet day to step back and assess the habits of your life.
It all begins in the thoughts: what sort of thoughts are growing in the mind? Thoughts become a belief, the belief system becomes spoken word and the words solidify our choices and actions.

Ask questions. Am I using my time wisely?
Am I working in the purpose God designed me for?
Is my spirit at rest?
Am I growing, pushing my comfort zones?
What is continually on my mind?
Am I getting enough sleep, adequate hydration, and nutrition?
Am I physically active and taking good care of my body?

If the answer is “No” to some of these questions, ask “Why not?”

Be wise and take time to assess the current season. Replace unhealthy habits with life-giving ones. Uproot negative thought patterns and plant seeds that support the renewal of the mind.

Heal and shift.
Adapt. Change toward the Father. He draws us continually unto Himself.

Life depends on change and renewal.
